Science
Opens the widest range of options at this stage — engineering, medicine, pure sciences, and (via PCM/PCB combinations) many design and research pathways too.

Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology
Commerce
A strong route into business, finance, accountancy, economics and increasingly into management and analytics careers.

Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, with or without Mathematics
Humanities / Arts
Often underestimated — it's the natural route into law, psychology, public policy, media, design and the social sciences.

History, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Sociology and languages
Vocational & Skill Pathways
Diploma and skill-based programmes that lead directly toward specific trades or technical roles, often with a faster route to employment.

Choosing a stream isn’t choosing a career
A Science student can still become a lawyer, a journalist or a designer. A Commerce student can move into technology or public policy. A Humanities student can pursue data-driven social research or UX design. Streams shape which subjects you study next — they are a strong influence, not a permanent identity.
What actually matters at this stage
- • Which subjects genuinely hold your attention, not just which ones you’re good at
- • Whether you enjoy more abstract/analytical work or more people-facing/creative work
- • Keeping realistic flexibility in mind — some combinations (like dropping Maths) narrow certain doors later
- • Talking to people already working in fields you’re curious about
